The Office of the Consul General represents and promotes the interests of the Republic of Vanuatu in Victoria, Australia. Its responsibilities include:

• Protecting and safeguarding the rights and welfare of Vanuatu citizens living in or visiting Australia.
• Promoting trade, investment, tourism, cultural exchange and people-to-people links between Vanuatu and Australia.
• Facilitating cooperation in economic development, labour mobility, education and regional engagement.
• Strengthening bilateral relations and maintaining close coordination with the High Commission in Canberra and the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu.
